We used the remaining straw and leaves to cover (or recover) most of the vegetable beds, using some surplus leaves from between the blueberry bushes while uncovering the strawberry plants that will need more light as they start to grow.
We were able to harvest a dozen or so small leeks which were shared out, and also some broccoli rabe which is a useful winter green.
Alex and team pruned the willows behind the shed and we all took a few of the curly ornamental branches, but left a large pile in the Food Library for community members to take.
A small team continued to tidy up the South Pollinator border and continued to weed out the creeping buttercup, as well as give the compost bins a thorough turning.
