Now that spring is just around the corner, gardeners are getting ready to start their seeds.

This instructional PDF on starting seeds is by the West Coast horticultural guru Linda Gilkeson and is an invaluable resource to have in your files, whether you are an experienced seed starter or a beginner.

If this is your first time trying, keep it simple and use just a few pots. It is easy to do and you do not need special supplies.

If you have any questions, need guidance or encouragement, please do not hesitate to speak to one of the Master Gardeners during a Riley Park Community Garden work session. We would be happy to assist you.

Seeds are little packages of hope and potential ... and watching plants grow from seeds is wondrous. Enjoy!
