We also harvested the first of the leeks, with many more to come.
Sadly the tomatoes have been affected by early blight, a fungal disease, so we had to harvest all the green tomatoes before they are affected. However, there are many recipes for cooking with green tomatoes, so all is not lost!

Last week, RPCG hosted a Microscope workshop for youth. The workshop featured ladybugs, their larvae, butterflies and various plants.

A young member of RPCG drew this scene of the border garden. How beautiful is this? We love all the colours and variations of flowers they captured.
Our Small Group Gardening Session over the weekend was very eventful!
Asian greens and scallion seeds were planted. Blueberries, kale, beans, basil were harvested.
Our volunteers worked hard to get all of the green vegetation chopped and into the first compost bin. The composting system is working well!
