Can you tell we love potatoes?
Thank you Helmer’s Organic Farm for graciously donating potatoes to the garden!
The last of the potatoes were harvest (2.5 kgs of Fingerlings, 3kgs of huge white potatoes - and 2.5 kgs of miscellaneous potatoes which were found when the bed was dug over in preparation for Asian Greens planting!)
We also harvested a kilo of bush beans, blueberries and other berries, more kale and arugula.
The remaining section of the compost was turned today.

A huge thank you to everyone who gave to the Donation Station this Saturday at the Riley Park Farmers Market. Enough produce and funds were provided to feed our Harvest Matchmaking program participants this week, with the majority of produce from local farms at the market.

Helmer’s Potato patch is looking great this time of year!
This week, gardeners dug yellow Sieglinds that were kindly donated by Helmer’s Organic Farm, Pemberton, BC.
At our Small Group Gardening session today, gardeners planted sprouted Scarlett runner beans and snap peas in the vertical garden; and were thrilled to harvest a lemon cucumber, regular green cucumber and a few cherry tomatoes!
Today we also harvested potatoes, green beans, chard, herbs, zucchini, turnips, green onions, cabbage, purslane, and mixed berries.
