There hadn’t been a work party scheduled for Wednesday, but as it was fine and sunny we held one anyway! I went up there and so did three others.

The white bucket beside the water butt was full, so we transferred it to the butt which is now half full.

Three volunteers turned up so we were able to turn the compost and start refilling Bin 1 from the huge pile in the collection bay, gather several barrowloads of leaves from the adjoining grassed area and spread them over some of the vegetable beds as a mulch.

We harvested some small leeks to reward ourselves for our efforts!
