Fall/Winter Planting

At the “Planting for Fall/Winter Harvests” workshop Selina, Master Gardener, explained which vegetables are suitable to grow in cooler temperatures.

The Fall/Winter plot at RPCG was planted with lettuce, mache, cilantro, mizuna, raddichio, radishes, gai lan, komatsuna, spinach, beets, & turnips, to name a few.

Curious what you should be planting these days? Let us know your questions and our Master Gardeners can answer them!

RPCG Tours

Last week Selina, Master Gardener, gave 2 tours of RPCG, one with Master Gardeners, the other with David Suzuki Foundation Butterfly Rangers (both included physical distancing!).

We have seen 3 varieties of butterflies in the garden this year - Cabbage White Butterfly, Painted Lady & Western Swallowtail.
