We held our monthly Donation Station at Riley Park Farmers Market on a blustery Saturday, March 4.

Master Gardeners

We were pleased with the number and variety of keen gardeners who stopped by our table, with questions ranging from how and when to start seed sowing, what veggies to encourage children to grow in school gardens, and how to grow the best size garlic bulbs.

We will be back at the Farmers Market on May 6th to answer more questions.

UBC student researchers

Students from UBC’s ENVR 400 course continued conducting a survey about community perceptions of food security. Their goal is to use this data to help Little Mountain Neighbourhood House improve its Food Hub programs.
